Default ok d series swap question...

ok...since the b series is so popular i cant really find much on how to do a d16a6 swap into my hf. im guessing the bottom end is a direct bolt on but im not sure if the head and axles are just bolt ons. somebody let me know how to do this, i'd really appreciate this.

You kind of contradicted yourself. You said a D16A6 SWAP, then asked about head compatibility. Are you interested in using the HF head, or completely swapping the motor? Axles match your tranny, so whatever tranny you use, thats the axles you keep in this case. The head from the 1.5 will work just fine, you may have some small issues, but it will work. It has been many years since I messed with Dseries motors heavily especially some 1.5's but it can't be too bad. If there happen to be any headbolt differences having both the 1.5's and 1.6's bolts will solve your issue. If I had to guess though I would say they are the same. It's all good man, just get it done.

D16A6 bolts directly into the HF - you need to use the HF engine harness - need to use the HF axles with whatever transmission (as long as it isn't a ZC transmission)

why would you reuse your hf head when the a6 head is so much aggressive than the hf?
i would just stick w/ the whole a6 setup if i we're you
