Default Somewhat OT: Difference between EG and Integra BC Racing Spec?

I'm looking at the Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers on Kteller's site, and I'm wondering why there's a $230 difference between the EG Civc setup and the DC2 setup. Likewise, I would imagine the DC2 setup would work just fine with ITR rear LCAs. Any thoughts?

All EG and 94+ Integra Rear lower mounts are the same, exluding the ITR. The front mounts, however, are identical. I don't really see a reason for a $230 price difference, maybe you should try Chad at R&D for a better price.

there is a difference between the DC2 and DC2-R setup.. that probably explains the price difference..

the R setup is probably the same as the EG setup, but with different rates..

Would it be different spring rates, or different...shock rates? I don't know how to word that right. Shock valving I guess?

well, I meant spring rates more specifically.. but with that, one would hope that the shock valving would be set appropriately as well..

then again, we've never seen a set of RSDs on a shock dyno yet..

I plan on sending them to Lee to have them tested when I get them, but I'd like to make sure I start off right, y'know? I guess a call to one of the manufacturers is in order...

Edit: I just had to point this out, from BC's US site:
About the P1 Spec dampers (not sure of the difference between them and the RSDs)-
"With the result and the race/lace which it materializes converts the light weight conversion where function squeezes the mark to use with motor sport to the last, is thorough as for excessive mechanism other than necessary function altogether, the mark trap it was in the body and it designated as the racing damper which it is thorough overtakes basic efficiency."

What?

If anything, there might be a spring-rate difference - maybe softer rear springs.

It's not like the price difference is from the factory - he's marked one set down. It would be stupid to pay $200 more when you know the integra set will work.

BTW... integra (integra) vs EG = not ITR forum related

aren't you selling the R?

and yeah, be prepared to order custom spring rates.. US stock rates, even for the R, were 10/8 or 10/7.. versus 12/8 for the JDM..

i was all set to buy buddy clubs, but gave up after it became a pain to order what I wanted and all BC USA did was confuse me further..

What would be the difference between DC2-non-R and an EG? Anything? The whole reason I'm asking this is because I'm wondering if there's some fitment issue that I would need the more expensive ones.

Marc, I am selling the R, these are for the new EG. What'd you wind up going with, or are you still in "rally master" mode?

As for R-related, Jeff....Hype R owns all!!!!! That'll do for now. If necessary, I'll post a pic later Seriously though, the above question pertains to EG vs. DC2R as well, since the site wasn't specifically defining R or non-R.

the P1 and RSD are different.. spring rates and valving, I would assume.. AFAIK, P1 = street, RSD = road race.. until you start talking about USDM versions, where the RSD's rates seemed to have been knocked down for streetability..

and yeah, I have no clue what that crap on the site meant..

I'm still in rally master mode at the moment.. I love body roll.. I actually expect to be out of ralley mode later this week, when I finally get around to swapping the front LCAs and UCAs out..

i just haven't bought anything spring/shock wise.. i keep hoping i'll find used GC's or koni's after this season has ended.. if not, I'll most likely be buying GC's and koni's.. I might've gotten omni-powers, had they had the same adjustability I need..

I'm assuming you saw the recent post on them with Lee's shock dyno charts?
