I didn't until I knew i would be driving from IL to OH a LOT. So i put it in, and thank god i did, because i blew a tire a month later. Just put it in, if you do a lotta driving away from home base.

Anyone ever try using that spare in a can thing? They say don't use it on sports tires, but i wonder if it would be good enough to use temporarily until you get a replacement tire...

I have used Ultraseal in a pressure can as an emergency once and it worked fine to get me home, you must keep your speed down to max 50 mph and use for short distances at a time 50 miles (same as donut spare) but it gets you home or to a garage. Most high performance tire punctures are not repairable anyway so it's just a matter of cleaning the slime off the wheel and putting on a new tire.
