Default Questions on 88 integra....

I am picking up an 88 integra tonight for 150 bux no rust runs and drives but axles are clicking. Anyway are all the 88's DOHC? Also even tho for now this is my winter car, can these tegs be quick if modded?

I'm pretty sure they were all DOHC, D16A1's.

Thanks guys, I haven't paid much attention to the import scene after my civic was totaled. I was focusing on my lowriders. Figured maybe if it made it thru the winter I would build a sleeper.

Thanks looks like a good site, picked the acura up I am very surprised how well it runs and drives for 150, interior is even spotless. Only issue I noticed was it ran warm the whole way home didn't go into the red zone but after warming up stayed at about 3/4 of the way

they are all DOHC. my buddy has one with a b16 and its a low 14 sec car. go to g1teg.com for help on g1's. there are lots of enthusiasts for the old skool tegs.

i loved my 89 ls teg. that was my 1st car. and it was a quick lil teggy. only thing i disliked was the front suspension. it was torsion bars and when i adjusted it to lower it, the front suspension hit really hard other that taht i was very happy with it. i painted it audi a4 silver with full kaminari kit and gsr fat 5s (95s) with 95 integra interior with type r seats (only front) had it for like 4 months then stolen i am thinkin about getting another one so i got my 95 ls and an 89 ls
