That's such a vague question.

What does "best" mean? You have to look at your car and the goals for your car first before you slap on any exhaust that people here suggest.

Depending on your goals, there are many options:
Large diameter piping, straight through design canister, chambered canister, thinner diameter piping, etc.

When I had my car boosting at 18psi, obviously a 3 inch downpipe with a testpipe and 3 inch full exhaust into a straight through canister would yield the most power. But do that on an all motor car making not THAT much power, and you'll lose power with that exhaust setup.

Tell us what you car has as far as modifications now, and then we can tell you what's better for you. Or tell us what you PLAN to do with your car.

very good questions. i should have thought more on this before posting. as of now it is my daily driver until i get done with tech. school. but i am wanting some good fun bolt-ons to make it a more enjoyable ride. no turbo, no supercharger, maybe but not likely, nitrous. like i said, a plain old intake, header, exhaust kind of car. nothing special.

Exhaust header intake is not going to give any good gain on an LS, Just get some good suspension and a set fo wheel with good tires. Later on if you wanted to go faster, turbo is the only way. That how i see it... Bolt on for an LS is useless...

Keep it simple DC header aem cold air and depending on what style exhaust you want either strait threw or andoval muffler type, Apexi N1 or apexi WS. People seem to forget how much more fun it is to drive you car when you can hear it not to mention i can drive my car better when i can hear it.

I have the DC Sports exhaust, and I love it. Very quite, not ricey. I can come home late and not wake the neighbors. Looks really nice. Almost looks stock.
