Default d16z6 swap

wondering if anyone has torque specs on the d16z6 - i need the specs for the crankshaft pulley bolt, the flywheel bolts, and the pressure plate bolts.

also, to use the d16z6 intake manifold, i only need to swap over my injectors, correct? i also swapped the fuel line that goes to the fuel filter from the a6 IM to the z6 IM. is this all that needs to be modified? i also heard that the MAP sensor is on the z6 IM, and wires must be extended from the firewall mounted MAP to the IM. does anyone have a pic of the MAP sensor on the z6 IM? i dont see it, maybe the person i got it from took it out.

one more thing...for the coolant temp sensor, is it possible to remove the one off the a6 and swap it for the one on the z6? the z6 sensor is located at the thermostat housing.

thanks ~D

EDIT: there is a bolt on the back of the z6 block thats in the same position as the sensor on the back of a6 block...but theres also a sensor at the thermostat...what should i do? also, is the vtec solenoid the green sensor near the distributor?

Map is a Map man, you can use either, just plug that vac. leak on the throttle body if yours is missing. Just give the map a good vac. signal.

just use the a6 injectors and throttle body, dont worry there the same size and that way you have the vac. line for the map running to the t/b from your original map, oh and use your dist of the a6 as well. coolant sensor from a6 should work, isnt the coolant temp sensor on the side of the head under the distributor though?

thanks, ill swap throttle bodies...

the coolant temp sensor on the z6 is at the thermostat housing. can i swap it out for the two prong sensor from the a6?

also, did anyone have a problem mounting the idler pulley for the AC compressor? it didnt seem to fit...

you cant use an a6 TB on a z6 manifold, or vise versa. they wont fit.

where are the people with a d16z6 swap and AC? did you use that idler pulley from the a6 on the z6? doesnt seem like it fits for some reason.

I believe you need to take the A6 compressor bracket and transfer over to the Z6 block, then your A/C idler pulley will line up.

ok slowly getting my questions answered but still...

can i transfer over the two prong sensor from the a6 to the thermostat housing on the z6?

and there isnt a place for the FITV connector on the z6 IM, is it ok without it?

thanks

all of the write ups i read when i was doing my swap said that 92 blocks still utilized the 2 prong sensor on the back of the block, but if you have a 93 or newer, you will have to extend the wires to the sensor on the thermostat housing, and run the newer style temp switch.

as for the fitv, mine is attached to the throttle body. is yours' different? good luck.

thanks

hmm, you must be talking about the eacv, not the fitv, because the fitv only has 2 coolant lines routed to it. the eacv is on the backside of the intake manifold, and is held in place by 2 or 3 bolts. it has 2 coolant lines routed to it, as well as a harness plug. If its not on your manifold than you will definately need to obtain one, because it controls your idle.

the connectors are the same, but the stock obd0 one is the creamy white color, and obd1 is grey. but either one will work.

oh ok you are right again. thanks. but there is one connector that is left over from the harness, and it used to plug into what i think was the FITV from the a6 manifold. is it ok to leave this one unplugged?
