counter clockwise like every other bolt.. you got to use a breaker bar and 19mm socket.. and btw you will need a strap wrench or chain wrench to counter the pulley from rotation..hth

btw you will need pb penetrating fluid or wd-40 if the bolt is stuck... that has 130 lbs of torque in it... you will need help..either way

thats why i said propane - it wont warp anything at all, it's not hot enough...

heat helps because it melts the thread locker. It's even more important wishbone bolts and lower control arm bolts.. why do you think people break them all the time? take a close look and you'll see a hole filled with blue threadlocker on those bolts..

thats wont work need something bigger and longer (20" to 24" is the ideal)...you need more torque for the problem....and then you can even reinforce that with a lead pipe... or any pipe would do

Default Suggestion

Is the motor still in the car? I have this same problem busting the bolt.. It is a pain in the *** with a breaker bar. Just take it to a tire shop.. they will take it off for you. It is three second job with an air wrench. It shouldnt cost you more than five dollars.

put a pair of vise grips on the pulley then use a breaker bar to rotate the the bolt counterclock wise the visegrips shoudl get stuck on frame and keep pulley in place. It worked once for me so its worth a try.

Just go to a shop and have them break it loose with a impact wrench. Then have them tighten it back up. Now that they have broke it loose, it should be easier for u to remove. Btw, my 500 ft. lb. gun wasnt enough so i had a friend work his magic with his 650.
