Default Honda Turbo Life Question

For those of you who bought a turbo Honda or built one, Gimme some insights to the life a turbo Honda. I'm pondering getting one...

If you had to do it again would you stick with a Honda or buy a stock turbo car like the LanEvo/WRX and mod it, why?

How long have you had your turbo Honda and how reliable is it?

Are most turbo Honda owners - Gearheads?

Why are there so many turbo Hondas for sale, especailly after they have just been turboed (like for less than 1000k miles)?

Would you ever buy an untuned turbo Honda? Why/Why not?

1. Id rather have an Evo/WRX hands down, but I cant afford a $35,000 car. Plus, I think its more rewarding to turbo a car that wasnt turbo from the factory.
2. Less than a year, but so far so good.
3. If you turbo a honda you should be the type of person who is interested in learning about their car/turbos and be willing to work on theyre own car.
4.Alot of people probably didnt know what they were getting into. Probably didnt realize how much it would cost or didnt understand how everything worked.
5.Would never buy an untuned Turbo Honda.

I have done it twice now. My first time, I bought a Drag kit and installed it mostly myself. The reliability was all in the install. The motor never failed because of the turbo and is still running strong to this day. My problems came from inexperience. I had oil leaks and boost leaks and it was a major P.I.T.A. I sold it and pieced together a kit just recently. This time around, I took my time and had a better idea of what I was doing. I haven't had any problems what-so-ever. No leaks, no smoke, and it runs like a charm. Good luck with your potential build and welcome to the darkside. :D

i'd rather have the turbo Honda hands down over the WRX, they arent that crash hot and have crap gearboxes.

And again i would have the evo over a turbo Honda hands out, they are a brilliant car to drive.

I'd never buy an untuned turbo car of any kind, and would check out any turbo car thoroughly before buying.
