its a t4 sc61 going on a fully built+sleeved h22 bored out to 89mm (2.3Lvtec) 9:1 Compression with stock head and rev limiter at 8000, wondering if spool up times on the street or the track will be very bad/long?

yeah another user PM'd me and with a similar set up and the same turbo and he said it fully spooled at 4500, but ill give up some laggy-ness for mad top end power
***what else can i do to help with the spool up time. its bored out to 89MM i have a lightweight flywheel, what else?

Sounds like my setup...
I'm running a t3/t04e .57/.63 right now and get full boost 15psi at about 3700rpm.
I'm pretty happy with it, might want to look into that.
I'm running 9:1 pistons on an 89mm bore aswell...

That turbo is very streetable. I used the exact same one on my old 450whp set-up. Here is a dyno chart of my 420whp pull so you can see what type of power band I had.

What compression were you runnning? thats pretty good for 19psi.
any ideas on what i can do to spool it up faster? im running a lighter flywheel and plan on running open downpipe

oh, wow. my dreams were crushed when i saw your dyno, but i thought you had vtec, hopefully i can get a lil closer to 500whp than you did

haha, how much more power should i really expect with vtec?

You can definetely hit 500whp. I would say around the 21-24psi range you should be able to hit it but it depends on how much timing you are running as well as the octane fuel you decide to use.
As far as your dreams being crushed, don't count your chickens before you hatch. Very few people can hit 500whp on their first set-up. But if you take your time, do your homework, and actually KNOW how things fucntion in relation to one another you can do it. Too many people think that a big turbo + sleeves + pistons and rods = 500whp. Time and time again they are proven wrong.
And as for hitting 500whp, I should be close to the 6's whenever make it back to the dyno with the new set-up. I've just been too busy with the new business and I'm up to my neck with tuning, engine builds, and etc etc. Sorry to crush your dreams again

I doubt that considering my engine is going into a street class EK hatch.
Another common misconception is that power equals low 1/4 mile times. Wrong.
Let us know if you need any more help with the build.
