Default Compression

aight
I talked to my dad about swapping the B16a into my 91 CRX and he said about the compression had to be around 8.5:1 compression to run a turbo efficently. Now , My dad is not a macanic but he grew up working on cars and knows a great deal about them

so
the question is
if I wanna run between 10-12 psi of boost.
what compression should I be running??

always listen to you father

8.5 is a good ground for 10-12 or higher boost.

Hondas are some of the most efficient and detonation resistant engines on the planet. Their Combustion chambers are engineering works of art.

You can safely run 8.5 - 10.0:1 compression on 10 PSI, with the right fuel management and timing control.

If you plan on going all turbo 9:1 with 15psi is still very safe and should get you around 300hp. I'd worried more about good fuel management. Invest in a Hondata, PowerFC or Microtech..

id build th einternals if i was goin to run 15 lbs of boost 10 would be alot for street use and ud be constantly tuning it if the fuel curves arent perfect ur gonna pay to get new internalls anyway
