Default help me please, b16 problem

ok i finally got my check engine off it was a code 14 got it fixed i didn't move the wire over on the ecu but here is my last problem...i hope there is a sound coming from my engine and i can't tell what it is it is not pinging and not banging it sounds like something is rubbing somewhere but i can't find anything rubbing like the alt or the ac i am not sure what it is if you don't know my story here is my deal i had a busted rod and i replaced all of them, so i am not sure if it is a cam but i took the valve cover off and nothing looks bad to me and i don't see anything broken in there. i was told it was my ac so i took the belt off and i am still getting the sound please help me i want to get the civic on the road just for a test run please help me out tell me where to look and what to look at thanks guys

are you driving or is the engine under a load when this happens or is it constant?

Also does the stop when you press on the gas or press and release the clutch?

no the noise starts right when the car startings i don't leave it on long enough for anything to happen, i was thinking about it today and i think i need to adjust my valves make sure they meet the clearance it could be that because i checked all the of the belts the timing belt is not on to tight i have no clue i am hoping that maybe a valve..i have no clue..

Have you ran the engine without the timing cover on it? It could be the belt or waterpump rubbing the timing cover. Just be sure to but your crank pully back on before starting it up.

Yes they are the same. I have had them bad without a cel. Also I have had Idle fluctuation with low coolant level.

i wonder if it is because i have not let the engine warm up long enough yet for the coolant to flow yet, meaning letting the therm. open and let it flow on from there i need to check that also but i want to get rid of that sound that i am getting from my timing belt area. i don't want to leave the enigne on to long i don't want to mess anything up you know thanks for you help man
