whats so great about vtec? dont get the impression of me being a dumb *** but really i've never heard any1 ask, "y vtec over non vtec?"

 

VTEC allows good top end power with good low end emissions.

not so fun in single cam accords but it definately is in DOHCs

 

yes M@D vtec... even if its a SC.. and you can't even feel or hear it...

not tru, i can hear it with my cai but i definately cant feel it, unless im in 1st gear get up to 4k let off gas a lil and punch it

Hahahaha, that's not VTEC, that's you giving the car more gas. However, I can't bash you, as I am very guilty of doing the same thing.

ya i knoe but for those 2 seconds from 4k to redline i imagine i have a b18c in my car (which i am half way there)

I used to do that........................... then I rode in a car with a ITR swap, and now its kinda like <FONT SIZE="9">VVVV</FONT><FONT SIZE="7">VVVVVVVVVVV</FONT><FONT SIZE="4">TTTTEEEEEE</FONT>CCCCCcccccccc................. damn......

I have a SOHC if you couldn't tell.

 

VTEC is just a great way of getting around the whole big lobe great top end but no low end problem.

 

vtec is like having a secodn motor once vtec hits another motor kicks in
