Will rev-matching wear out my clutch prematurely?
No, rev-matching, heel toe downshifting ect will not wear down the clutch prematurely, if done correctly.
The car should not become unsettled durring the downshift. If the shift isn't smooth it will effect the clutch.
I bought my car with 100,000 km on it, autox'd it, lapped it and drove it hard on the street, all on the original clutch.

"the clutch is there for a reason.....use it "
Umm,WTF are you talking about? You use the clutch during a rev-match or when you downshift properly.I guess they didn't cover that in last months SCC,stupid ricer.

rev matching is easier on your synchros...so yeah, when there are smooth engangement, your clutch is living easier than hard shifting (jerking..and etc..)

Umm,clutches are cheaper than brakes?Since when?I would rather change my brakes than my my clutch anyday.Changing the clutch is very tedious and annoying.

I am not sure what year Honda corrected it but the coil springs in the pressure plates in at least the 94 cars could come out of their spots. I think they went to a heavier spring retaining system later. so when you get a new clutch you get the better model I am told.
Remember clutches are cheaper than brakes.
Use the clutch
you sure about that?
