Squeaking
Need help on what could possibly be making noise.
I get a horrible squeaking every time I take off, or am driving along very slowly. Also does it when I slow down sometimes. I can make it squeak if I turn the bump the wheel back and forth with the car sitting still. I still have the same popping noise I had in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=930358
I've narrowed it down to a couple things (I think).
Suspension bushings. No idea when these have been replaced (if ever) and the car has over 120k on the body. No clue on how to test this.
Steering rack (don't know wether this could be it or not, but it seems to do it more with the wheels turned, and it did it when I was sitting still moving the wheel back and forth kinda violently
). No real idea on how to test this.
Suspension (either shocks or springs). I think this could be it because it squeaks in the rear a little bit as well. Seems to do it any time weight transfers. I'm running some super old school RS*R springs on stock shocks. The shocks are not blown.
Motor mounts (not sure if they've ever been changed either). Seems to do it down low where there is a lot of engine movement (taking off and then when I shift).
Axles(probally original as well). They make more of a popping noise than a clicking, which is why I'm not sure about these at all.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Pefrectly normal. Just about every Civic I've ever been in (including mine) does it. You can get down and grease something to get rid of it, but I've never bothered.

Well, I am not sur what can it be cos I would have to hear the sound and see when it happens...
But what you can do is:
- buy a silicone spray
- spray every rubber part on the suspension one by one...
like this: first spray the lower ball joints - then do the test drive... if it doesn't help spray the upper ball joints... then do the test drive again... then spray further...
Eventualy you will spray something and the sound will go away.... then you will know what needs to be replaced...
In my opinion, several things can go bad so squeeling appears:
- ball joints dirty and messed up
- rubber thingies on shocks that go between the cup and the spring dirty or worn
- springs tend to squeel sometimes
- check stabilizer bar bushings
- check motor mounts especially tranny mounts
And for the REAR SQUEELING noise... check and spray the trailing arm bushings (those bigest ones).... they tend to wear and sqeel a lot

yea but when you do it make sure you start at the lowest part first so the lube can't slide down and hit the lower ones b4 you do!! if that happens you will never know which one it was!!!
How is your suspension? Stock, aftermarket? How many miles? Go around the car and push on each corner to narrow down where it could possibly be. Then go from there. But first i would check the suspension. I had that problem for a good while and it was a shock that was going out. Might be the same for you. HTH
