Default MSD Blaster 3 Coil and Ballast Resistor

I'm planning to run an external coil with the stock ignition system and AEM EMS. Is a ballast resistor required with the Blaster 3 coil? I've searched the archives and most say no but some people have used them.

I would like to hear from you guys before I install the coil. Thanks in advance.

NO. Absolutely not.

Unless you are running a points type distributor.

Just my 2¢ worth.

The only reason I went with the Blaster 3 is because that's what my friend sent me.

I believe your Blaster2 comes with a ballast resistor. Did you end up not using it?

Correct.

DO NOT USE the ballast resistor.
It is for points type ignition. Not needed for Honda.

Actually, You can:
A. Throw it away.
2. Paint it pink and put it in a Halloween bag.
D. Save it for that old school lowrider bomb project you have been thinking about.
I hope someone thought this was funny.
