I know alot of ITR guys have HID's. What do you look for when buying them?
I am interested in putting HID's on my car. I have seen a couple of sets used, and just wanted to know what to look for when buying them, either used or brand new. Thanks.
Brand name, quality, fit, plug and play, amount of use/ hours.
I bought a used Catz 4300K kit and could not be any happier.

Visual Dynamics 4300k Philips here. Was probably the best quality/price of its time. Catz and Xenon Depot are among my favorites also.
Bbasso = #1 stunna these days
Anton = who if he actually drove his car at night would also be interested in HID's

Wow lucky guy! I've heard though that for some reason there was something illegal in the US about the Catz models which is why they stopped distributing them in the US? I heard they were great though.

What's up guys. I bought a Lexus IS300 HID kit for my Type R. I purchased it from another Integra owner who lived near me and he took it out of his car and put it in my car all in about 15 minutes. Not difficult at all to install. I dremeled down the base of the D2R bulb and cut away an old 9006 bulb leaving nothing but an O ring with the 9006 socket fitting thing. Couple spots of epoxy to fasten the O ring to the D2R bulb and it fits and turns into the stock headlight housing just like the 9006 bulb did.

and if i get a 9006 low beam kit,
it wont fit and make a bright light with the oem linses?
in my last car i had xenon also, after modification of the head light it was nice.
but before i blended a lot of people....
