Default LS/VTEC TIMING

I was wondering if theres any suggestion to timing a LS/VTEC setup without dyno runs. The engine currently has:
JDM B16 head
AEM adj. Cam Gears
Integra Type R intake manifold
headerback exhaust
unorthidox pulleys
ngk plugs and wires
aem fuel rail w fuel press. reg.
intake
vtec kicks in at 4400rpms
safc (not tuned)
B18B block

Just keep it at stock until you're dyno'ed...cam gear timing only adds 2-3 HP after A/F tuning anyways.

Ignition timing keep at 16 degrees.

You can't use a b16 timing belt on an lsvtec. It wont fit, you need a gsr or itr belt. And definitely use the VTEC water pump and oil pump.

everything runs right, the car runs faster cause i retarded the VTEC cam (exhaust cam on the jdm b16a's, intake on the newer si's) 4 degrees and advanced the intake cam 4 degrees and its running much better than at a top dead 16 degrees. and yes the water pump was changed over, and the timing belt is integra i believe

Did you check the ignition timing to see where it was after the cam tuning?

not yet i know it changes w cam timing, but i ran out of time, top end is good at 4400 when vtec engages and torque's still strong surprisingly for a honda...last time i checked the ignition timing it was dead center, we'll see this time...i know i can get more out of this motor.
