Yeah SVA, MOT then Registration (Number Plates).

Would you belive I have to replace all tyres to pass SVA as there only currently rated to 98mp/h! Yet the speed limit is 70?!!!

It's for your own safety. VTEC in 5th gear is addictive. And maybe you will go to Germany sometimes or you can hit 110 mph on downhill. Get some W rated tyres (168 mph). They usually have stiffer sidewalls -> better steering response.

Honda-tech.com is predominantly a US Site, I have been using the site for a couple of years and its great forum with good people but for more UK specfic posts you might be better of using the Official UK Honda Club Forum which is at http://forum.hondarevolutions.com. The forum there is more generalised i.e. no specific ITR forum but still helpful.

Anyway nice looking motor, when do u pick it up? I have a 96 spec also but I am up in North Yorkshire! Anything we can help with post here or PM me ;-)

Well lets face it, its not easy staying under 70 at the best of times!

Anyone got any sugestions about tyre aspect ratio's 55 (as stock) or 50? ie 195/55/15 W or 195/50/15 W?

Should get the car in a couple or weeks its been tested once but tyres etc failed.

205-50-15 is a common option.

Nice looking ITR.

If money is not a problem, get the Bridgestone RE-010 195/55R15W or the S-02 in that size. The S-03 in 195/50R15W is cheaper and you won't be disappointed....

I was looking at the RE-010 and S-03 but there 70GBP and 75GBP. I think i'll give the Potenza S-03 Pole Position 195/50 ZR15 82W a go for starters at 50GBP each .

If you are happy with V rated i'd go for Bridgestone RE720's - they are excellent tyres and cheaper than W rated and lets face it your not going to go over 150mph.

In Japan ITR's (96spec definitely) were fitted with V rated from OEM so shouldnt be an issue with insurance company either. Most JDM cars come with lower rated tyres than the UKDM for some reason.

I have been running RE720s since I got my ITR and never had an issue, I had to buy some RE010s recently as couldnt get any 720s and I am not as keen and they seem noisier - although this i my opinion only

I havent played too much with sizes except I did fit some 50 Toyo Proxes up front to kill at the track as they were dirt cheap, they were good tires too, but didnt seem to get as much feel back as I do from the Bridgeys

http://www.bridgestone-eu.com/articles.asp?ID=139

RE720 has a daddy looking tread too compared to RE010 IMO Of course!

The RE-010 should grip better than the RE-720, doesn't it?
RE-010 is noisy, yes, same as the S-02.
RE-010 should also have a stiffer sidewall and therefore steers better.

RE010, if you can afford it. They are awesome tires and you can have some peace of mind knowing that they are stock ITR tires.

If JDM ITR's don't come with ABS then the Space Shuttle didn't have a parachute?

It was just a simple question as the USDM has ABS. Tosser.
