Default EK coupe with b16, worth it ?

K well I have never really been a fan of b16's, but i'm just trying to get some general opinions if you guys think it's really worth me trading my stock Y8 full swap + a grand for a full 2K A2 b16 swap... Some of you might think that's a decent deal but is it worth it if the b16 is going to remain stock for a while its still going to be a 15.5 or higher car in a 2k EX... what do you guys think.

my idea was to sell the b16 block and just do ls/vtec ... what do you guys think

What's the milage on each of the motors? I personally would go for it if I had the same amount of milage on my D16Y8 as on the B16A2 and the engines were the same year. Aside from that though...why is the guy willing to swap you engines? Is he in need of the money? Have you seen how the engine runs in his car lately?

Bottom line is...B16A2 offers a lot more potentional then the D16Y8. Granted in stock form, the B16 doesn't seem much more potenent, but turbocharged, it can make great numbers. More power on a stock block then a turbo on a D16Y8.

ya but do b16's have a decent amount of potential without thousands of dollars, it seems most of the mildly built b16's in my town are still slow cars, but ls vtec people with stock everything are 13's .. the guy wants to trade because hes in need of money supposidly, im going to check out the motor today maybe ill get some pics and post em up. up up

if I had an extra grand laying around and the b16 has low mileage I'd go for it. 2 cams are better than one. Can always add a better block to the combo later for more torque and hp.

Go with the B16. So many options, so many parts.

Thanks.
