Anything over $175 isn't going to be worth it unless you're going to find a way to make it solid, as another transmission can be had for around $200-250.
i bought my tranny for 100 bux. my 3rd gear is going also. I was thinking about rebuilding mine but I know Im not going to attempt it. Ill just buy another tranny.
what type of transmissions can i use? like can i use any integra trannies if so what years? So then i can have more options when searching for one. Thanks for fast reponses. Also would the axles work with other trannies.

Other hydrodraulic d-series transmissions, only d series axles are going to work for you.
Try to stay between 92-00 D series civics, transmissions as well as axles.

if u plan on keeping your car for a while get a rebuild, trust me it will be worth it. i was in need of a new tranny and the rebuild was gonna be like 1400 so i got a new used one for 1000 installed (i didnt even knoe it was gonna be that much) and they put in a dx tranny so my gears were longer. just get a rebuild unless u plan on swapping it out within the next yr or so

What!? Please be quiet. He could get more than a few transmissions for that cost. People barely pay that much for their B-series, actually they don't.

LOL ur all insane.. i paid 300 for my gsr tranny 2 be build with R internals and he installed it for 100... if some1 is payin more then the tranny is worth 2 rebuild it.. then u prolly deserve it
Hey guys I was curious. Is there a SOHC civic engine that has LSD? what about the VTi or is that DOHC? DOHC trannies wont work on SOHC motors will they? Thanks
If you don't know how to do the work yourself, you are pretty much screwed! I suggest a rebuild, but that's just me. Never know what condition used trannies are in, unless you get to drive the car they are coming out of. Spend the money now and get a good rebuild, unless you feel like putting a used tranny in every year or so.

Correct, but not all came with lsd.

I also had no 3rd gear in my 94 ex tranny. bought a del sol tranny for $125 from someone doing a swap. Notice alot of these sohc trannies having 3rd gear problems???
gave the old one to a friend who rebuilt it for free since he had another bad tranny with right good parts need to rebuild the one I gave him. lucky bastage.

I've read a HT thread a while back that the Si tranny is interchangeable w/the Ex's. You might wanna look into it though, not positive. An Si tranny has better gear ratios performancewise.
