Default What do I need to know about N2O

I have tossed around the idea of boosting my car, but I really do not wish to pay all of the $ for a kit, or spend the time and effort installing plus have the added headache of my daily driver being boosted. So with so research I have decided to go with the bottle (plus if I do end up getting a turbo I can use it as a foger). I was going to start with a 65 shot and then 75 shot (wet). I really like the ZEX system because it has the full throttle activation. What else do I need to know before I do this. Are there better systems out there with similar or better features??
thanks for all of your help

I like the Zex dry kit better than the wet kit to be honest. Ran a 75 shot on a stock D16 for over a year with no problems.

everyone says that a dry kit increases the risk of detination due to the fact that the car will run lean. Is this true??

No, it's not true. The Zex provides fuel by bleeding off nitrous to the fuel pressure regulator. This causes the fuel pressure to rise and provide additional fueling. The amount of nitrous bleed off to the fpr is regulated by a jet sizing system just like the jets you use to regulate the size of shot you spray into the intake. On the back of the Zex instructions there is a chart telling you what # jet to use for nitrous and the corresponding fuel jet # to go with it.

LOL, I did the same thing. Not that the bottle wasn't any fun though. I'm still keeping it in there even though I'm going boosted. I might still want it later.

Dont turn on the nitrous below 2K, actually alot of people say to wait until 2500 to do it.. I would get a msd window switch so you can turn the juice on at 2000-2500 and turn it off before you hit the rev-limiter.. You never want to bounce off the rev-limiter when your spraying..
