Default 99 LS distributor, 99 si harness.. extra wire

on the 99 ls dizzy, there's 9 wires.. on the 99 si harness, there's 8 wires.. it is next to the black/yellow wire.. what do i do about that? i believe that is a tach output signal.. does the si get it somewhere else?

also, the black/yellow wire on the ls harness is a lot thicker than the si one.. is that alright?

thats correct, the small blue wire is the tach output. now why your si doesnt have it on the harness is beyond me, perhaps is one obd2a and one obd2b? but that confuses me, because they're of the same year. the thickness is supposed to be different, nothing to be concerned with.
