Default 4th gen o2sensor? Can you identify this PIC?

I pulled that off the air intake, in front of the battery. Do I need this if I am getting a CAI? I assume its the o2sensor?

You won't need it with that intake. No, it's not the O2 sensor.

That CAI system looks fine. o2 sensor(s) are either in the exaust manifold or before and after the catalytic converter (after if its obd2). Fourth gens are obd1 and for my '90 EX, the o2 sensor was just a bit before the cat. Someone correct me if I am wrong on any of this.

you're right assasin. the o2 sensor is on the bottom part of the downpipe. you have to crawl under the car to see it. you can NOT miss it. its the thing sticking out with wires attached to it.

I knew that's where it's at on my car, but on some 4th gens, I have seen it right above the collector on the exaust mani so I was just being sure that it wasn't a certain year where the location changed or if it was a differentiation between models (ex, lx, etc). It is hard to miss though lol. Thanks for feedback btw and GL to Phire with the CAI. I personally love the sound that my intake gives my car, hope you enjoy yours just as much as well as the slight gain in power via butt dyno.
