n00b need some help please.
hey, Im thinking about getting a 89 civic si with no motor and doing a b16 swap. I have no experience with hondas what-so-ever. A friend of mine used to have a swap hatch and I loved it. So I was thinking of buying this hatch (89si) with no motor for next to nothing like $100.00 and throwing a b16 in it. Can anyone help me out with some of the stuff needed along with a general price also.
Also he has a CRX of the same year that i would need some body parts off of (hood, fender, lights, drivers window) they all look visibly the same but will they work?
thanks for the help much appreciated.

You can get the motor and tranny for like 1400 I would change the water pump alternator and timing belt new fluids of course spark plugs and wires also i would get about 300 extra dollars for anything misc that may pop up cause something will happen trust me and next time search also you are going to have to do a little wiring. good
luck

buy the hatch. if you need body parts off the crx, the hood is the same, btu the fenders and bumpers are different. so you would have to swap the whole front end. the b16swap, you'll need axle's, mounts, shift linkege, you have to run a vtec and knock sensor wires, motor, ecu, tranny ect... good luck man
