why did the plugs not fit? I have a 91 harness in my 89. So far the only problem I had was that the reverse light was not where the it was suppose to be so I had to rewire it. I believe I have a 90 crx si factory manual at work I'll see if I can do anything else.
I hope this helps. I have an 89 Si that Im finishing up and used a 88 Si Harness ( cars not done yet but heres what ive been told )

In your engine harnessm besides all other wires, it will have a Red/yel wire next to Red/white wire. The 6-wire plug next to the round plug will have Blue/yellow next to Blue/green wires. These two pairs will need to be swapped over:
Blue/yell swaps places with Red/yellow
Blue/green swaps places with Red/white.
You'll see on the car side of the plugs, there will be wiires of the matching colors, so you'll be able to verify it.</TD></TR></TABLE>

88 Si has a square 6 pin connector - 89-91 Si has a round 8 pin connector - this is because the 89-91 Si had a Fast Idle Control Valve and 88 Si didn't - thus the extra wires

yes, sort of - black with yellow stripe is "hot" with ignition on - just make sure it isn't grounding out on anything
