I pulled me b16 out and put a head gasket on it and a new clutch. Everything worked fine when i pulled it out, but I put it back in and got everything hooked up and I get a code three. Also the clutch cable doesn't have any slack in it. It is loosened all the way out and when I put it in gear and let out the clutch it doesn't move. Any input on these things would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

 

Maybe your clutch cable wasn't adjusted right? Did you reset the ecu?

 

the cable is loosened all the way out and i still don't have any slack. i am goin to try to reset the ecm next.

 

So right before the swap it was working fine? Do you have an extra one you can use to see if maybe yours just gave out?

 

i don't have another one but i think i am gonna try to see if a friend has one tonight. What do u think i should do about the clutch though?

You can either modify your stock one or buy a new cable from a 90'-93' integra (about $65.00). I bought one about two months ago because my modified one snapped on the inside and my pedal went to the floor. It is a direct fit you just have to remove one of the rubber boots, you'll see what I'm talking about if you get one. I also have a B16a CRX. Hope this helps.

 

thanks for the help. I flipped the cable bracket over and it worked perfectly. I replaced the map sensor and no more codes.

 

so all you had to do was flip the bracket?
hhmmm i might try that ,

when i changed my clutch last week i had the same problem so i basically put the cable through the bracket, and then the toher bracket that you bolt down i had a freind hold it in place (with a pry stick) and i was able to get it back on, but i cant adjust the clutch. i might try your method this weekend.
