dpfi -> mpfi w/ hf FI?
I want to do a dpfi to mpfi in my DX. Can I use the mpfi and dist from a hf and just get an si ecu?? Is the hf mpfi really any different from the SI mpfi??
Im sure it will work, I dunno about size tho... free bump.
PS, you can use the hf dizzy if u want too, and if you need a pm6 manual, I have one.

it will work but the intake runners on the HF are tiny (= no performance).
get an a6 intake, the dist is the same between the two cars.

i would like to use what i got. Do you think the tiny hf runners would be any better than the dual point?? Really what im doing is helping my friend with his hf, his head is tost and im putting a ZC in my DX and want to sell him my engine. Trying to figure out the best plan to get my DX engine running in his HF. Not to worried about performance, he just mainly wants a good running car.
the engine you're getting should come with the manifold, but if not, just get an a6 manifold w/ rail and injectors. and then do the wiring. doing a search also helps greatly newb.
reading also helps newb. It doesn't make one look very smart when you call someone a newb without knowing whats going on, or knowing if they are really a newb or not. If you read you will see Im putting a ZC in my DX. Yes the ZC I have came with the manifold, I plan on keeping it with my ZC thank you. I have a friend with an HF w/ a blown head. We want to put my DX(DPFI) into his HF. And if you can find a thread here about the best way to put a D15 into a hf with the manifolds at hand let me know.

As long as you swap all the parts (complete manifold, and distro) from the HF engine onto the DX block, it should perform no worse than his old engine.
It actually doesn't even count as any sort of a conversion to me - all the MF=PFI system stays the same, just the shortblock is replaced.
...yeah.....
noob!

So let me get this straight, you're taking the D15 from your car, putting it in the HF? If so, HF manifold + D15 block and head + HF dizzy should work perfect. Physically, they should be the same.
