Default turbo smoking

i have a t3/t4 turbo on a b18c1. anyhow its smoking around where the turbo connects to the exhaust manifold somewhere aroudn there its white smoke and it kinda smells like hot metal like an iron. anyhow i appreciate the help.I was reading old archived posts and they were saying white smoke was prolly from coolant or oil that spilt on it which i did both lol. i changed the headgasket the previous day so maybe its the heat evaporating the liquids? the car never smoked on the exhaust manifold before , thats the only reason im curious.

I had the same thing happen to me. I had the vacumm lines hooked up wrong. Check and make sure that they are hooked up right.

It depends how much it smokes... if it's not substantial ammount of smoke, it could be from that, aswell some oil that might have gone there.
If it smokes after few hours of work, yea, than it's bad news.
