need some sugestion about a skunk2 in a LS.......
I was thinkin of getting a skunk 2 for my B18b.. BUT one of my friends told me it dosent do nothing, that theirs no point in puting it on i want u guys 2 tell me if it would help.. and if i get it what would be the best thorttle body that i should put... Give me some info...
Thx...
Thx...
build that ls motor first, other wise its useless, the sk2 mani starts making power where the ls motor doesnt have power to make, upper rpms,b18b's dont rev high enugh to utilze the sk2 mani gains..
I have been wondering basically the same thing. My friend put a Skunk 2 on his type r with nitrous and he said that he didn't really notice that much of a power gain, but I can tell you his car whistle's pretty loud with it on. I have been wondering which intake manifold works best for a turbo'd b18b. I was thinking Edelbrock, but they claim to make the power starting at 7K rpm, that is too late to help most b18b's. And I was also wondering the same thing about throttle bodies, what size has worked best for people on the LS motor?
wat do u sugest i do in ur meaning of builting a LS..... like wat **** should i get, im getting a turbo.... this week... give me a list of wa would u put and wat brands.. thx

That would be expected. A skunk 2 im is pretty much a replica of the itr manifold. Your friend should have done some research before he wasted his money. On a stock motor, to utlize any power gains from an aftermarket intake manifold, you really need to rev the motor pretty high to take advantage of the increased flow, i.e. higher then 7k, which obvisouly would not be fesible on a stock b18b. But, used in conjuction with cams, exhaust, TUNING, among other things, the skunk 2 im can be beneficial.
