Im getting myself a C's shifter and the shop recommended me to get the Spoon change rod at the same time since my car is 99 plus its over 100,000 KM.................... do I really need this mod? does it really help?



The Spoon change rod is a stock Honda unit that has been stiffened and reinforced by Spoon. By making this modification to the shift linkage, there is a more solid and precise shifting feel. Highly recommended for cars older than 50,000km, as normal use over time will have weakened the metal at the end of the change rod, making shifting feel sloppy and soft.

Spoon = Waste of money.

Will you really feel the difference? It's not like OEM Honda linkage is flimsy in the first place.

 

c's has been out of buisness for a while , get that shifter while you still can.

 

jdm itr's have gold shift linkages if ur into the hype/bling

 

ya ive never herd of the spoon change rod.....stupid mod if you ask me.

 

you better make sure that **** is real, (look for the stamp) but you never know spoon make some crazy *** ****.

Just change the name to make it sell, i.e. shift linkage is now change rod.

No joke. It's a damn metal rod. Let me swap out my stock one for a Spoon rod!!

 

Waste of money.

Soft and sloppy shifter feel is due to worn bushings and the worn shift rod inside the tranny. The stock Honda shift linkage is strong enough. You swear the stock shift linkage will snap during hard shifting. If anything, your shifter will snap first.

I would suggest the B&M shifter with the metal bushings rather than the C's shifter. I have nothing bad to say about the C's piece, but I have only glowing reports for the B&M unit and, with the metal bushings, it'll give you the most solid feel out of any aftermarket shifters .

 

i like my C's way better than i liked my B&M.

i think the throw is perfect , not too long , not too short . the height of the shifter its self , and the fact it doesnt rattle like hell , my B&M did.

 

Holy ****, what a flaming waste of time. Like your stock iron rods are gonna bend. Spraypaint yours that same gold color. If you REALLY want a better shift FEEL, get a new shifter, ****, and a smoother transmission with better synchros. That will do very little, if anything, and of course this company is gonna sell you parts you dont need. Thats like the guy tellin me to buy his "special" grease for this NEW shift ****, when the stock **** is the same and more than adequate.
