Default type R exhaust onto EK hatch

when I decided to do this I couldn't find any definitive info about it so I figured i'd make this post to help people searching in the future

this is an ek HATCH w b-series w/cat

the b pipe needs to be extended about 3.5 inches and the axle back needs to be shortened just about the same amount. Also, no matter which way you hack it the tip is much too long (looks terrible) so it will have to be cut off. Not really a big deal though since the 'inner' tip on the itr muffler is a slash cut it actually looks pretty nice in an oem way.

that's it

I'll try to get some pics up soon, it's pretty quiet so far but i have only taken the engine to 4500rpm, still breaking things in so I can't really give an opinion on sound yet.

I wouldn't be able to say if there was a difference because I put the exhaust on when I did my swap so I have nothing to compare to...I guess I'll find out when I dyno the car if it's adequate, I think it will be just fine.

heh all that typing to say nothing, pics soon though

So I just want to clarify that you have a modified ITR exhaust right? Did the muffler hangers line up like the stock muffler?
