I did this as well. In threads I read everyone went crazy about how terrible it looks and you MUST go with the itr or si cable. Screw that. Stick with the gsr cable and bracket.

i dont think the GSR bracket will mount onto a ITR throttle body. with this being said, u are prlly gonna end up getting an itr throttle cable and bracket. makes your swap look WAY cleaner and its cheap

yeah u can't put a gsr bracket on a type r throttlebody which is similar to this which is a type s TB
but yeah to make the skunk2 manifold look and work like its supposed to with a GSR motor u need to change the throttle rotor, throttle cable bracket, and throttle cable

you can do it you just have to get the spring and wheel off an b16 and take off the gsr one and swap it, or just keep with the gsr one . it's up to you they both will work.

I all ready have the b16 tb butterfly on my TB. I have the throttle cable ran to my gas peddle. Sorry I didnt clarify sooner guys, How and where do I run the throttle cable in an eg. Im using an ITR throttle cable. I have the bracket on the manifold allready. So do I just loop in under the stock eg cable bracket? And then to the front of the engine. Ill take pics when I get to the shop later on tonight.

you work at a shop and you don't know how to connect a throttle cable? Yikes.

ok you can't use the JDM cable if you car's not right hand drive, so drop that ****, you need a usdm b16 cable, or a usdm ls cable. you mite have to put a cable lock on it (it goes over the cable and a screw tightens on the cable to hold it's place) you can buy it at any hardware store, you put it right there where the cable connects with the gas peddle.

I own a company which specializes in handicap accesability. Alot more money invlolved than a speed shop.

I could just pay people or my mechanics to do this, but id rather learn to do it on my own.
Its scarier that you dont know how to run the throttle cable either and still decided to waste your time and post a useless reply. Ah the internet, what a wonderful place.

I have the usdm type R parts. Im running a gsr with a skunk2 intake manifold. Everybody on HT says it looks cleaner when u use a b16 tb pulley. Did that. I also have the itr throttle cable bracket with goes on the skunk2 manifold, did that. I also installed the ITR throttle cable to my gas peddle already. So now I'm just wondering how I route the new cable. Do I reuse the stock civic throttle cable guide which mounts on the shock tower? Or do I route this cable another way?
Thanks for all who help in a positive way.

not trying to be a dick, ive ran throttle cables many times and its seriusly a no brainer. There is only one way to connect it to both ends and have it work right. . .just look at it you will see

It works 100% fine with the gsr bracket and cable. This "looking cleaner and working better" is just a honda-tech bandwagon response.

bla bla, what's so wrong with wanting an oem looking throttle setup that doesnt rub on your hood? Bandwagon my ***, it's called doing it right and not being cheap.

Sorry for my dickheaded reply also, I eventually did figure it out. Just would have loved it if someone coulda just took a shot of theres. I ended up routing it using my stock civic throttle cable guide on the drivers shock tower. Plus I had my throttle cable bracket (on the skunk2 manifold) on backwards. So after I figured that out it was relatively easy.

backwards bracket was probably throwing you off.

I know you fixed it already but noone mentioned this so I will.
I had a lot of play in the throttle cable (pedal goes half-way to floor) before it opened the throttle at all, so I decided to get the itr cable and bracket. I also have the sknuk2 mani. Anyway,Got it from inlinefour.com for like $40 for both.
It does make a big difference in throttle response. Immediate reesponse, possibly 200% better than w/ the gsr cable IMO.
Like someone said earlier, cheap and clean-looking + 200% response improvement = a great buy for your B.

easy, plain and simple.
GSR throttle body on a skunk2 manif.
Order the Type R throttle cable and bracket from you local dealer or internet shop (there's one here that SPONSORS H-T and there prices are great!)
Go find a regular throttle body. LS, B16, SOHC, it does not matter. Simply swap the throttle cable wheel and spring out. DONE!
