Default Just For Reference: Chinese D15B VTEC Has A Block Stamp Of D15B2

I just wanted others to be aware, as I have never seen anyone else with this motor. All factory markings/cast #'s are exactly the same as the JDM version. I just had to take pics to prove to some folks on another forum that this existed, so I figured that I would show my HT brethern......

I hope that this may help someone in the future......

I get 93 Civic 4dr Lx with D15 Non-Vtec engine and recently I bought JDM D15 Vtec engine. My question is the timing belt and water pump are the same as the non-Vtec of US? If they are not the same what year timing belt and water pump should I need for my JDM D15? Please help I need the car to run!

If you look at it in person, it is definately factory, there is a wierd "c" kinda thing on/in it as well.....it's wierd, but definately a D15B VTEC.

EDIT: This motor is from hmotorsonline, and Steve is the one that stated it is Chinese. I am sure he's right, as he imported the damn thing lol.

Looks like the "C" thing stamped over the 2 in part of the die stamp for the "HMO" next to the 2 look under the "5" and you will see the same ovel circle inside the "HMO"

Although, his close-up looks better, but the 2 doesn't look as thick as the other letter/number stamped. But... eh, who knows?

I didn't think about the "C" thing being an HMO stamp, but it is. The 2 is definately factory though.

my motor from hmo has the hmo stamp on it too, so i guess they do stamp their own numbers on top of the circled hmo stamp?? i dunno but you can def. tell the 2 was a factory stamp.

It's a VX water pump, but be careful, the aftermarket autozone brands aren't identical. I went to 4 parts stores before I found a match.

I actually just picked it up for CHEAP yesterday, it's a Concord, I don't recall which model. It seems to eat batteries though I got like 10 pictures using flash before the brand new batteries died, the manual says to turn off teh LCD when in use for better battery life, but damn. 10 pictures?

if your using alkelines, try switching over to NiMH, they are rechargeable and offer significantly better life in digital cameras.....atleast in my canon they did...

Steve at HMO is a good guy, but I don't know why he'd feel it necessary to stamp a block twice
