Integra Side Door Moldings
Sup guys,
I have a 98 Integra GS-R and was thinking of removing the crappy door moldings. I am referring to the ones on the door that are the same color as the car (not the side skirts that are black.) These POS barely protect the car from door dings and people slamming there doors into your car. Plus I hate the way they look. Anyone remove theirs???? If so are there holes behind it or just two sided tape. How much will it cost. Holla at a Bro!
Thanks

When you take off the side moldings you'll have to weld the holes behind them. It is kind of a costly job since they have to probably 'spot' paint the area. I have mine shaved off but they painted the whole car. I've heard a couple of body shops around my area charge 500 for that kind of work.
Taking off the door moldings will leave about six rectangular holes. Removing the door moldings on the rear panels will leave three rectangular holes.
If you do decide to take them off, you'll have to take off the door panel first, then push out those clips that hold the door moldings. To remove the door moldings on the rear panel, you'll have to remove the rear quarter panels inside of your car.
To take off the rear panel, you'll have to remove everything from the trunk, including the rear seats, in order to get clear/easy access to them.

I just took a flathead screw driver too it! My car was keyed and I was repainting the whole thing anyhow. Weld on little squares and then clean it up. Don't just bondo over the holes. If you dont want to take off yer door panels just wrap a flathead up w/ some tape then you can get it off.
