I am looking foward on getting an jdm lsd y1 for my gsr hatch next week.. i am currently running the gsr tranny and want lsd.. So my question really is , does the y1 tranny fit the gsr usdm motors and will it work fine?.. and is the y1 tranny hydro? What do y1 lsd tranny usually goes for? and how much you think i can sell my gsr tranny for with 55k..

 

It will bolt up.

 

I'm pretty sure the y1 was from the 1st gen b16......so I beleive it's a cable tranny

 

It is, it would bolt to the block, but the clutch is differant. The preasure plate is the same, but the disc is differant. Couldnt do it unless you had a cable disc also.

 

to my knowledge all B series transmissions bolt up to any B series engine. you just have to worry about cable or hydro

That and also clutches I believe. You will have to get different clutches for the specific tranny.

 

yes all b series bolt up to any b series. y1 is cable hasport makes cable to hydro conversion

 

does the y1 tranny only comes in cable.. cause the guy that i am going to buy it off of said it was hydro... and is 500 a good price?
