Filling front bumper holes and deep scratches before Painting??
what do u guys use to fill in those two holes where the "A" emblem is mounted on the front bumper, the front license plate holes, and deep scratches in the front/rear bumper?
My teg is gonna be painted pretty soon, and I do not know what will work best.. I dont want any problem in the future w/ the fixes that will affect the paint finish..
thanks in advance..

To tell u the truth dude, do not use bondo..
i work at a honda dealer in the bodyshop and i m a tech at honda... go to your local body shop and they will sell u their best body filler. after u get it, sand by your front A till u see bare metal where u are puting the body filler... If u dont egt bare metal pretty soon it will come off. Or you can just tell the paint shop to do it for you.. But its not hard so i wouldnt waste your money doing that.. And do the same for all your other scars in the body. Give it a try and if u cant do it, leave it up to the paint shop. goodluck hope you paint job looks tite, put pics up wen ur done.

um yeah, there's no metal on the front bumper where the A emblem is. It's not on the hood like Civics.
Bondo works fine for small holes in bumper covers. However you have to do it right or the filler will "sink" in later, making depressions appear where the holes used to be.
For holes in metal, welding is best. Then after grinding it smooth, use the tiniest amount of filler to get it perfectly smooth.

um yea, well on my 92 ls/vtec integra the A is on the front hood, i missed where he said front bumper. I'm not up on the 94 up integras, my bad. In this case u need to sand the bumper down till its really rough, no matter what u have to sand bc it wont stick to paint like it is...
my friend is gonna help me paint the car, i've had 2 bad experiences w/ 2 seperate shops when it came to painting my last 2 cars, so i am VERY WEARY on who to trust.. its alot of money when u paint a car... this time around all i have to pay for is materials, labor will be free...
SO i take it, body filler will work just fine then?? not BONDO....

hehe just be like me.. do it at home n learn
i used bondo to fit to small holes n other dent spot.(dent puller then bondo) and paint it at home.
u can do all of this at home.. n not havin to spend SOOO much at body shops.

for holes on bumper... i would say use epoxy... that will take place of weld... and then bondo to smoothen it if needed.... always remember.. bondo shrinks over time, so u want to use as little as possible

Welding is not the best in my opinion, because of warping.
I use an old technique that not many people use anymore, I solder. all you have to do is countersink the holes with a larger drill bit. Make sure the inner rim of the hole is also paint-free. Then use a soldering iron (not soldering pen) to fill in the holes. This takes a little bit of practice if youve never soldered holes before. Then I use a metal file and shave off the excess solder. Then sand smooth and use a little putty to fill in any small scratches or low spots.
Using only bondo on metal to fill holes is not a good idea. Bondo is very porous and holds water longer than normal. This will eventually rust your metal.
Using bondo on a plastic bumper is also not recommended unless you use flexible bumper putty. But using this to fill in holes may still leave you with outlines of the holes on under your paint.
