Well the pieces themselves can and will break or wear out. There is no sense in rebulding them. You can however, rebuild the transmission replacing those parts with new ones. I'm currently having troubles with my 89 CRX Si. I'm real sure its a clutch problem, but, I may find out that its a flukey trans problem. Going to swal the trans out with a regular CRX one and see if the problem goes away, then I'll know.

i guess i should have been more clear, of course i did not mean you can rebuild the gears or any parts, but rebuild the transmission with new parts.

Yea, I just got into rebuilding trannys. Its really not too hard. But to answer your question, yea you can replace certain sychros, gears, whatever you need. Transmission parts are indeed a little pricey though.
