Default Wheel spacers?

I might try 225-45-15's, can someone point me in the right direction for wheel spacers, and the size I need. These are for an Integra.

Thanks,

Bryan

Will you have enough thread on your studs with spacers? Just something to check out before going out on track. Someone with an integra probably knows the answer to this one already.

I guess you're using your existing Volks?
Well, when I first put on Corey's ex-Prelude wheels with 225/50-15s on them, the inside of the rear tires rubbed against my rear upper control arm. The smallest spacer I could find was 5 mm, around a 1/4 inch. This did the trick for me, no rubbing anywhere. I got the spacers from Radial Tire in Silver Spring, MD, for 9 bucks each. I hear that when Corey and Morgan tried out Corey's new 15 inch K1s with 225 R-compounds on Morgan's Accord, there was no rubbing at all. I guess that's either because Morgan's car has more clearance around the control arms, or the wheel has a sufficient offset to clear the tire of contact. Moot point if you're not getting new wheels though.

Oh and I guess a lot of people noticed my Roman-chariot-style 3" long Skunk 2 studs which were made necessary by the spacers.

To run 225s all around (except for hoosiers!) all you need are 1/4 inch spacers for the rears to clear the rear control arm. That's what I ran when I had 225s v700s. The fronts did not need spacers. There is still a good amount of thread left. I used 1/4 inch because that's the maximum legal width for solo II, but it also does the job of providing the necessary clearance. (this was on a type r using the stock 6 inch wheels)

thanks, I have 15x7 TE37s 43mm offset. The car sits about 1.5in lower. I can play with the settings, but just wanted an idea where to get the spacers and the sizes. THanks!

I'll be needing some also. I know H&R sells spacers, but i belive they only sell the spacers packaged with longer studs. I have longer studs...I just need the spacers. Is there a on-line parts house somewhere that just sells spacers?

there's also the JDM ones... i forgot the brand name... but they come in like 10, 15, and 20 mm. they come with shorty studs, then you bolt the spacer to those with the flush nuts it comes with, and you bolt your wheels to the lugs on the spacer. bad explinaiton... but maybe someone knows what i mean. they're about $100 from autobacs in japan i think. someone must have them in the states...

Jesus...Autobacs? Call Radial Tire in MD, get the 5mm spacers (a few bucks each) and a set of Skunk2 $160 wheelstuds, and you're set. You too can be "Sparticus"

Longer studs can be had by using 86-89 teg rear disc studs.
I think they are 8 or 10 mm longer.

Beware though, not a fun install at all! If I was racing I would just replace the front wheel bearings to install. You have to split down the hub to install them.

This is a place where you can order spacers. I think I ordered from them when I got my H&R spacers (can't remember for sure, but I know I still have this bookmarked ). I ordered the 5mm spacers, and they came with longer studs.

Thanks, I take it I only need the 5mm? I will try the wheels and tires on the car first. They have a 43mm offset, we will see.

FYI skunk2 studs are $5 each, at most it'd be $100 for the set (ITR, 20 studs total)... i have them in stock if anyone needs them. The extended thread forged lugnuts too.

oh yeah, the spacers i was talking about are made by "battle club." they look to be very nice if you want to go more than 5mm!
