Default Kakimoto exhaust

When my car arrived from Japan i was mighty surprised to see it had come with a catback exhaust on it. When trying to find out what brand it was on the side of the muffler said kakimoto racing.
Seeing i have never heard of this and the search on this forum brough up nothing, i was wondering if this is a good exhaust?

do a google search, the piping doesnt look too big, usually the point of aftermarket exhaust is to promote airflow.

kakimoto is a great company, but it looks like your car jus has the muffler. cuz the piping looks real small hehe

btw use some silverware polish to clean up that muff !

Yea the muffler is now shining. By the way the factory exhaust came in the trunk so this is all new piping and it looks much larger in person then it does in the pics. Unless its some kinda new phase to get a new muffler with small piping.

I guess what i can do is line the factory piping up next to it and check myself. I'll post pics up later.

Well found out the size piping on is 2.25" would my car benefit more if the piping was upgraded to 2.5". Should i just save my money and be happy with the 2.25" piping. Newb question I know but i am still learning.

Thanks

save your money. it'll only really help if you're going to boost or NOS it later. for now try to eliminate other bottlenecks

best of luck

Here is the whole car the outside is just basically stock. Plan to maybe get sum 16" lightweight wheels if the money is right.

Stock engine with just a short ram intake

Yea the muffler on mine has the kakimoto badge on it. The muffler looks like that because it was sitting on a boat out in the ocean being shipped here for 5 weeks, so the salt water doesnt help it much.
