Hey, i wanted your guys opinion (hoping no flaming)

I Just received a 98 civic EX when my dad baught his 02 s2000. I got a job so i can beef up my car alot. But the problem is, A) its automatic B) its 4 dr.
Now i changed my reason for a job to a vacation for my 18th birthday to Amsterdam.

And im deciding im not gonna beef up this car.
Instead im just gonna either keep it stock or maybe just throw in some CAI.
and when i graduate college my dad said he'd buy me a S2000.

My question for you guys is what would you do.

I want to keep my civic for a while...
save up for a new car (thinking Infiniti G35 or 350Z).
(dont want a s2000 as im getting one in the future)
now i want to just view your opinion.. im not asking anyone to say that im making other people make my decision... i just want to view what others would do in my situation.

 

Wish I had a dad who'd buy me s2000. Next time, I see my old man, I'll tell him, that s2000 is long overdue.

I think you should go to Amsterdam and get laid. civic 4 door can be your car for shopping.

id keep the car the way it is because the money you'll end up spending wouldnt give you that much power besides a turbo or something.

 

Sounds to me like you answered your own question rather than asked one.

The problem with your situation is that virtually no one one this board get's anything bought for them. They all have to work hard just to keep what they have and modify it. So you're asking people to try and relate to your situation which is pretty hard to do.

 

wow thats hella gay. you are saving money for a G35 or 350Z? you know your dad's gonna buy you that AND he's getting an s2000. i would just go to Amsterdam, smoke all your ghanja and do some hookers and then come home to your grocery getter 4 door and call it good. then wait for the G35 or 350Z to roll in then your s2000 when you graduate. lucky bastard

 

What did you just say? I'm not sure what you're talking about. It's your money, save it or blow it, doesn't really matter.

how am i spoiled for something i have yet to receive? i am fortunate... that is all... my dad is giving me an offer if i graduate college because i have been failing school all my life... he is giving me motivation so i am likely to do good later in life. Im about to turn 18 and im still a sophomore in high school. That is the only reason why. I never said he was gonna give me a new s2000 either.. I have chatted this over with him and he said it will probably be the one he has ATM so it will be 8 yr's old by the time i get it. He will get a new car and give me the hand me down.. just like it was with my 6 yr old civic.

its not that im dumb, its that i did do bad mistakes 3 or 4 years ago in middle school. I now have turned around and wished i never wasted time doing absolutely nothing and not going to school. that is why my dad offered it to me because he knows im trying to turn around.

 

aint nothin wrong with a 4 dr ..i'd just keep it stock throughout college and wait for the s2000..save the money u make now to "beef up" the s2000.
