suspension pros... what would you recomend?
i have a 94 civic hatch with a b-20. i have tein SS suspension.
my goal is to have the car low enough to look good but not so low that it hurts handling.
from what i gather i dont want my rear LCA to be higher than parrallel to the ground. does that sound right? i have been told that for the suspension to porperly function the rear LCA cant be angled to where the highst part is on the wheel side. at factory hieght the rear lca is at an angle with the higher side being the inner side.
when i see pics of pro road race cars they seem like they are considerably lower than my car. i doubt they are lowering thier car that far to make them look good. so there fore when do i dertemin that the car is too low and will therefore have a negative effect on handling.
also i have camber kits on all four wheels. i have read that if the alignment is dead on, negative camber will not wear your tires unevenly. is this true?
i have gone through some tires pretty quickly, and i allways assumed that it was due to my severe negative camber. i raised my car back up and the camber got less severe and the tires still seem to be wearing pretty quick. i see cars like the g35 coupe and they have a lot of negative camber from factory, so i assume that the staement is true and that negative camber will not wear your tires if the alignment is good, or otherwise nissan would probably not have designed this car in such a way. with that said i realize that there is a big difference between that car suspension and my own. please offer what advice you can. thanks
