Default **** right outside my own house

UPDATE:
Ok, Richmond police found the car yesterday and notified me that a LOT of parts are missing. I read the police report today on my way to look at the car and it stated "Major strippage" so I was prepared for the worst. However, when I got there, I was a bit surprised at what i saw.

The Bad:
-Body is still in same condition except my muffler got bang with my rear lip to hell from the towing.
-For some reasons, they took off my passenger side skirt and threw it in the back (dont understand why)
-Zex Kit and Nitrous pressure gauge is gone
-My dented, super curbed rims with almost 0 thread was taken (not tripping
about this)
-Took my gauge cluster, along with my Sony mp3 deck and speakers
-Took my custom shift **** and replaced it with crappy stock one.
-Took my AEM CAI

The Good (i guess):
-Didnt take my s2k steering wheel
-Didnt take my Del Sol seats
-Didnt take my FAYE WONG cds
-Didnt take any body parts (front lip, rear lip)
-Didnt take my 5zigen axleback (though it's gone to hell)
-Didnt take my suspension (Tokiko Illuminas with GC, ITR Sway with Beaks, and my DC tie bar)

Overall, i'm glad my car is in the shape it's in now considering many are totally stripped body panels and all. I'm guessing the theives in this case were amateurs but you never know. It's time to beef up my security, probably a pager alarm or Lojack if it's in my price range.

Original:
Car's gone. ******* theives musta hit between 3:00-5:30am because that's the last time I checked for the car and the time my mom work me up. Had an alarm, autolock, and a fuel cut off so I guess they're better than amateurs. Police is coming over now to do file a report.

**** THIS IS some bullshit. Just installed my zex kit 2 weeks ago too. Pissed as hell now and there's nothing I can do about it. Hope the cops find it in one piece at least with just a few missing stuff. I'm guessing by now the rims, S2k Steering wheel, Nitrous Gauge/Kit and a load of other side is gone by now. Hope they leave it runable at least.

Alarm was a viper xp680 i believe. Basic features mainly. Just calculated my losses is around 5gs over the pass 3 years I've had the car. Any idea what insurance will do in this situation? I know my policy dont cover my mods so what would insurance pay for my car?

99 civic ex with 77000 miles.

The optional components of the alarm are important, if you'd had proximity sensors, you'd know if they were next to it, if they popped the hood and pulled the battery cable, battery back up still gives your alarm a chance to warn you, pagers are good to if you're inside a store shopping, hood locks are good as well, I just got my alarm installed sunday, I've got lots of extras, and I'm putting more in this weekend, all these threads about cars getting jacked is just freakin me out, so I'd like to know that my **** is safe.

if you've got full coverage with theft protection, you should get at least book value for your car, minus your deductable of course. Always bad if you're making payments though, cause insurance does not cover intrest. Hope you at least find it. GL

probably brought along a big ole tazer and zapped the car on the body or frame to short out the electrical system (including the alarm)...and then probably towed it.

if you got a 2wheel dolly and a one-two jack you can tow a car in 5 minutes.

always have it on the clutch. I think i'm officially done with the honda scene. The nitrous kit was suppose to be my last mod. Keep your car safe guys.

anyone know what is the bookvalue of my car? Kbb said 8800 private seller and 6800 through dealership. I got to see what are my options now. I hope they dont find my ****, cuz it just wont be the same without the stuff I've had.

doubt they towed it. I just installed window wisors 2 weeks ago. My passenger side one was f'king lying on the ground. The theives even had it in their hearts to put it aside from the rainy weather to the edge of my gargage door.

That's just scary. They must be big time thieves if they are equipped with tow trucks and all. . . .

Sorry for your loss. I hate reading posts of cars stolen cause it just make me more paranoid.

First of all, sorry to hear about the loss.

And on your next car, put motion/tilt sensor.
