Default Poorman's Trany

I recently started building my "Poorman's ITR" and I am in need of assistance...

(For the people who don't have a clue of what Im talking about)
B18C block + B16A head = POORMAN'S ITR

First off, I own a 1988 Honda CRX Si... I was wondering if anyone could recommend a trany for this particular setup?

Would choosing a trany be personal preference or does it even matter?

I prefer the S1 cable trany from my previous motor swap. Would this trany perform well with this setup?

I guess the main question is:
"Cable transmissions vs hydraulic transmissions"

I'd appreciate your input! Thanks!

I am doing the same setup in my 99 si. Personally I would use a shorter gear ratio trans because of the top end power band, I am just goin to use my stock trans it has a short enough gear ratio for me .

btw what pistons are you goin to use... I am goin to use the p30

At the moment my setup is:
-1995 B18C block
-1999 B16A head
-PR4 ECU (no rev limiter)
-ITR crank/rods/pistons/belts
-AEBS headstuds

Everything is in pieces right now... I need to get on the grind and find a trany soon! So many parts to shop for still! This project is eating up my wallet!

NOTE: I will never build a FRANKENSTEIN motor again!
