RSX-S Header that makes the best gains? (Yes I searched)
A friend with an RSX-S has $1600 to spend and already has a v2. We are going to put on a header, exhaust, and then tune it (going to have to look deeper into uberdata on a type S, haven't spent much time looking into it yet).
My question is, who makes a GOOD header for it? Not looking for a header with stock primary and collector sizes, want to make good gains. The only thing non-dc that I could find was
http://store.clubrsx.com/merch..._Code=
But that says nothing about its collector size. Whats stock size on a typeS? Any recomendations are good! Thanks.
Edit: Found a few more on modacar. The above one seems to be the best bang for the buck!

Best gains....Hmmm...would u just like the "most HP" #? or would u like the header that offers the most top end gain...or the most midrange....u want bling or do you just want function....its up 2 u. shiet i hate to search and always get flamed but geez even im tired of this kinda damn thread allllllllll the time lol
I went with the DC ceramic header. I didn't notice improvements until I drove it around for a while. On another note the AEM CAI performs better than the V2 through out the power curve. I know the dyno sheets on AEM say different but people that acually have them I think would agree.

He just wants a better curve. I did search, and mainly I just saw people asking about the dc header. Looking for opions of users of the JR peice or any other solid peice.

damn i been looking around for a graph about the Toda Race header with various bolt ons. the pics were of the header on/off and it did offer a much smoother curve all around...but i cant find the damn pic lol sorry
best gains, you're looking at Toda. best gain for buck, you're looking at DC.
Yea he'd need kpro or aem ems to tune that. Don't expect uber gains by tuning though. The cold air calibration is already pretty good. expect 5whp if even that after tuning

your going to tune a type s with intake and exhaust?
Sure you could use uberdata but not that much power is going to be pulled out of it.
I would look into the Toda valvetrain package. That kit seems to pull the most power out of k20's.

He ended up buying the Jackson Racing header and tanabe super medalion exhaust. He had to take his car back to the dealer to have some warranty work done on it, which they fudged up so bad that he STILL isn't driving it.

Actually, the DC has larger primaries than the Comptech. Also, if the Comptech has not been modified at the collector, then it has a disadvantage there as well (lip in adapter).
Toda>DC>Comptech>JRRH...power-wise. Toda>Comptech>JRRH>DC...quality-wise.
Toda>DC>Comptech>JRRH...power-wise. Toda>Comptech>JRRH>DC...quality-wise.
