does it fit smoothly? and how's the wiring? anyone got any thoughts?

Not particularly easy.

that the spirit... but it would be nice to have s2000 gauges...i think it just for looks...i heard that if your planning on gonna use the tach alot as in racing or shift point....on the s2000 is not accurate...meaning that the response is slower then real time...i would always recommand aftermarket tach (apexi if you can afford it but, but of the high dollar ones now are all digital reading)

what about the autometer tachs, they seem to be popular. i can name probably 2 handfulls of people who use the autometer tachs.

You do realize that it's more than just rewiring....

I don't know if it was ever resolved, but the signal to the speedometer is different for an S2k than it is for an EG, and before they couldn't make the speedometer work at all.

Yup seems to be the main problem when I was reading up on this a while ago...plus I got a video of that ef with the k20 swap and itb's on the dyno and they are shooting the video towards the inside of the car and the only thing working was the digital tach.
