only will it be cool if you duct tape neons to some home made card board side skirts, and put a tripple decker wing on the back, oh and they have to be those sweet *** lightup led exhaust tips, to match the light up wiper squirters.

Your getting there, but the newbie bashing sarcasm just needs a little bit of tweaking.
Back to the topic on hand here though, there is no reason to run a true dual exhaust setup that is functional on our itty-bitty four-bangers unless you do something creative with a turbo downpipe. End of that.

The irony in all this, is that the S2000 never needed a dual exhaust either (from a performance standpoint). It's probably just there for a design/asthetic reason, gives the car symmetry. This car did initially have to compete for marketspace against the Boster, SLK, etc. I can only assume the Japanese design/marketing team felt it needed some design cues like this. Even then its more like dual-exit/tips-from-a-single-muffler-fed-by-a-single pipe. Kinda like the old Mugen muffler for the 1st gen CRX (which looked kinda cool).
Orig poster: If you're doing it for originality/looks, so be it. Whatever floats your boat. If you're doing it for performance, don't delude yourself.

Actually... (nerd mode on) it's a single exhaust pipe split to two mufflers with one tip per.
(nerd mode off as much as it can be)
