<FONT COLOR="blue">Does anyone know of a good website I can check out to install this correctly in my 88 hatch? I have tried, but no luck, theres a gap between the DC2 ashtray and the radio/AC dash cover. TIA</FONT>

 

It's like that. All you need to do is add a bit of upward force to it, then screw it down.

i'm gonna try and ghetto rig a 92-95 civic 4 door armrest to my car...wish me luck...
my plan for now is to make a cardboard piece that's the same dimensions as the base of the armrest itself, then slowly hack away at it until i get a clean template, and from there i can cut dremel drill bash smash the 91 armrest base til it slips over our fat stock seatbelt things...

any more ideas?

 

Just to make sure the only place i have to screw would be right on top of the DC2 ashtray like so??? Or is there more spots to screw???

 

when i did it, i used 4 screws, 1 on each side (by the pedals / footwell) and 2 under the ebrake cover thing. Solid as a rock

 

It looks kinda tacky w/ the 2 screws on top of the ash tray like the guy did from 4thgenhatch.com

 

i agree, which is why i only fastened it on the sides, and under a dummy plate by the ebrake
