Default H&R or Eibach Pro kit for Daily driving

Ok i did a search and didn't get the answer i was looking for. I live in NYC and all the roads suck. Right now i have neeuspeed race springs with KYB agx's the car is slammed. looks great, but it rides like shyt, really bouncy and it scrapes alot. So i was trying to decide between the H&R springs or eibach pro kit for daily driving on the F'ed up streets of NYC. Which one is close to the ride comfort of stock. I would like to keep the look, but i know that won't be possible. So i'm gonna go for comfort..thanks alot for any help

HR sports are not bad and also handle well. the key is not to go low as you lose travel and that hurts the ride. also high spring rates. to offset a softer rate to control roll get sway bars.

"i also heard H&R is a little more aggressive then pro-kit".So that would make the H&R's a little more bouncy...correct or not. I've heard good things about eibach, but after doing my search, some say H&R's are just as good if not better. But there just cheaper than the eibach's

I have the pro kit on Koni Nuespeeds... - 24mm ITR front bar and 22mm TEG rear bar with a BEAKS SRK - a little more stiff than stock, but much better steering response and significantly better handling...

H&R Sport on my hatch...when your on the freeway they are smooth. you forget you have them until you hit a bump. they are really stiff on bumps, but i like that. i had pro kits on my old si, and i like those too. i would go h&r if i had the choice.

Very nice set-up, definitely one to be envied for daily driving. Pro-kits have a softer spring rate than the H&R's and will give you that stockish ride feeling with a slight drop. I would choose the eibachs for that reason.

I have the Pro-Kit on my AGX, and I do tons of driving in NYC / Tri-state area. They can still be a little harsh on the x-bronx / 295 area where all the construction is because of the highway speeds; but I don't know of a suspension that wouldn't be. On the city streets, they're okay as long as you avoid the potholes.

Just run the KYBs at a softer setting, and I've found it's a near perfect balance between performance and comfort. My car is a DD and weekend AutoXer / track *****; and the Eibachs are everything I was hoping to get from a spring; no bounce at all, and great road control

The only other option would be the H&R OE whatever they're called, but the performance on them sucks, and they're not much more comfortable ride than the Eibach.

I have Tein High Techs

There an even lesser drop then a Pro Kit and a really nice ride.

Just a slight drop and slightly stiffer springs give the car a good look and slightly better handling

Roads suck here in Nova Scotia so that is why I went with them

i have H&R Sports Springs with Tokico Blues, yea on highway or high speed it feels really nice, until you hit a bump or some sort. handles croner well, and also high speed turns.

My Setup:
Tokico Blues
H&R Sports Springs
Spoon Front upper strut bar
Spoon rear upper strut bar
Spoon rear lower tie bar
O.E Si front Sway bar
O.E Si rear Sway bar
some knock off front H Brace
TCS Rear camber kit

rides well on my 17" rims
i had Eibach before and they do ride well too, but i like the H&R better

overall you can not go wrong with both of them... your choice

Eibach
H&R

I've had two sets of H&R Sports on both my Civics. I had a set of Eibachs on a 1999 Sentra that I had and they had some serious "booty sag."

I prefer H&Rs.

I strongly recommend the Eibach Pro-kits. Just over 100K on stock shocks with no problems. Though the rear shocks have been getting weak the last 10K. I haven't had a problem with sagging - still a 1.3" drop all around.

They ride about 90P stiffer than OEM at 290F and 190R. The HR Sports ride 330F and 280R, similar to Eibach Sportlines.

I case you're wondering how they look, here's a pic of mine. Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the help. Its greatly appreciated.I'm gonna be buying the springs as soon as this weekend. As of right now i'm leaning towards the pro kit, but not sure as of yet.To compensate for handeling i was thinking of adding a comptech sway/tie bar combo, and maybe an ITR bar in the front. But i was really looking for as close to stock comfort as i could get without being stock.Once again thanks for all the opinions, keep em coming if theres any more.

why dont u get some ground control coilovers? they come with eibach springs and for only around 60 bucks more u can adjust your height. But back to the subject i have a the pro-kit and like it alot but i wish it dropped it a little more, thats why i am getting some ground control coilovers

It really depends on preference I guess. I think GCs are rated 380F and 280R - twice as stiff as stock.

Ride is a subjective thing. If I lived in the crater-filled streets of NY, I'd just leave my suspension stock and I'd probably STILL avoid the rough patches of road. But if I had to choose, I'd go with the Eibach Pro-Kits coz of their softer spring rates. Even though the Eibachs claim 1.3 or 1.5" (I forget which) drop, they tend to sag a tad and the overall stance is quite nice. H&R Sports drop to just a finger gap up front on most Civics and are quite a bit stiffer than even the Pro-Kits. Your ride will be a bit better but don't expect anything near stock ride - comparitively speaking, the stock ride is damn near plush.
