get one from Hmotorsonline.com....great place where i got my motor from...you can buy the Gsr b18c complete swap and that comes with everything you need to do the swap... you might want to upgrades your motor mounts to hasport high horsepower EK mounts its an extra 350..

i followed that with my 97 hatch and had no problems except minor wiring issues which could have been solved if i got a ex wiring harness i believe

good luck finding a good condition CLEAN gsr complete swap for around 2 grand. my advice is to do the swap yourself (if you have the tools) it is a really great learning experiance and is overall not that difficult.

i would say your best bet is to either wait and save up or just go ahead and get a b16a2

Just buy a case or two of beer and invite your friends over. That's the best way to wrench. You'll learn a lot doing it and it isn't difficult. I've got 3 b series swaps in EK's under my belt and a tranny swap. There is plenty of information on this site to help you along if you get stuck. Good luck, whatever you do.

I personally have a USDM B18C1 motor in EK civic. I love it. I use Energy Suspension Motor Mounts which work very well. B18c1 w/ b18c5 (type R) tranny is a very good setup.....

Any of the swaps you mentioned will keep you happier than the mini me. I guarantee it. I had a mini me setup and my friends b16 swap was so much more fun to drive.

The b16 has very little torque. Although the b18 really doesn't have too much more, it's adequate for little Hondas. I have a b18 and drive around in 5th most of the time. If I am cruising I am in 5th by 40.

*About the cherry picker....some auto parts stores will rent equipment.
