Default Trembling '91 EX

I have a 1991 Honda Accord EX F22A1. The car is running fine, but the thing is that while i drive and go past 60 miles an hour, the whole car begins to shake, regardless if its going up a hill or not. It's really scary when I drive far distances and it makes me think its going to break down sometime soon...any ideas? Thanks.

yes, you shoud do search like hawkmgc said, but in doing so he should have atleast tried to answer your question.

check your tires for balancing as (hahaha just saw this) searchbeforeyoupost! said. you may also want to check into getting your car aligned. a bent rim will also cause a shake....

good luck

It could also be a motor mount or a suspension or tire problem.

alright here are some of the treads that have same issues:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=909671

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1015143

these are just two of the main ones that I know of these should help cover the issues along with the first two pages of postings as those are normally the most current.

good luck

Did someone do a tuneup on it recently? I had my 92 in the shop and the ******* put non-honda transmission fluid in! Car shaked violently in 2nd gear, but that was it.

Honda or NON Honda part is not really the case

Heck I have a Ford Focus Muffler on mine and no problems there

And as for Fluids, I use mostly Synth. Fluids and I have no problems at all with that.

Guess yours was just a freek thing

As for regular fluids your correct, but as for transmission fluid, honda/acura have a special blend of transmission fluid designed for them. Honda/Acura doesn't make this! Mine was by quakerstate (i think) but any fluid maker will have it. It is just a specific blend for hondas. Mechanic was trying to tell me that companies tried to improve the blends, but found that they didn't work as well with hondas, so they still have it available.

Hey guyz, i had it checked out, apparently it was the alignment...they said it was off by a small degree, and after they aligned it, it should be fine. Thanks for the help!!!
